Did you know that Danielle Chapman Art Therapy and Counselling does Aged Care, Disability, Private and Corporate Workshops?

Workshops for Community Living Centers and Disability Groups

Danielle is currently working in the Aged Care community predominantly doing Watercolour and Acrylic Painting workshops (but always ready for a challenge to do something different) at multiple Vacenti sites.

She is amazed how the residents brighten up when they get a paint brush in their hand. No matter what their barriers are, Danielle works with them to make sure they have a very positive experience.

She arrives with everything they need to work on their artwork, with examples of what they can achieve, teaching them techniques in a calm, social and happy environment.

Discover and Nurture You - Cuppa, Chat and Art Groups

What type of art have you tried?
Sometimes it’s hard to try a new style of self-expressing. Some reasons are:
• The cost of set-up is high when you don’t even know if you will like it
• You’re not sure where to start
• You may never have heard of your dream art style
• It’s easier to learn in a group with someone to help you
• Making the time for you to do something for yourself
• So many more reasons
But wouldn’t you like it to be easier?
It is, I have set up weekly Art groups where you can try out any of the following art styles, everything is provided.
Watercolour - on a pre-drawn paper or a blank sheet, up to you 😊
Acrylic painting on canvas - Bring a picture of what you want to paint or choose from any of my templates
Glass painting – Create your own design or use a template on a jar provided
Sculpey dough - Get your fingers squishy and bring your inner child to the group
Drawing – Sketch something that you can see in the room practising your shading
Pastels - Have fun blending pastels to create your picture
3d Art- Learn my own technique
Vision boards - Create your very own vision board
Alcohol Inks – A fun, vivid fluid art that creates a marbled effect
Beading- Make a bracelet of necklace

In a world that is always buzzing, it seems nearly impossible to schedule time for ourselves. There is a revolving door of reasons to push “me” time until tomorrow and when tomorrow becomes today the story stays the same. Knowing why, how and when to schedule time for yourself is so important when it comes to self-care and living out the best life for yourself.
Investment in yourself is $30 per week for all supplies and cuppas. Or a four week pass is $92
So if discovering Art techniques is something you are interested in, come along to my Discover Art Groups on Tuesday's at 6:30pm or Wednesday’s at 10am.

Turn your negative self-talk into positive affirmations!

Do you catch yourself saying mean things to yourself?

Are you your own biggest critic?

What is Negative Self-Talk?

We spend so much time telling ourselves that we’re not good enough, smart enough, talented enough, or thin enough.

We tell ourselves that we don’t deserve the things we want.

Or that the things we want to have or experience will never happen, and even if they do, they will be disappointing

Our negative self-talk affects us in very powerful ways.

If we think something is possible, we’re more likely to make the effort to achieve it. If we think it’s impossible, we won’t even bother trying.

If we think we are a good person who deserves to live a life we love, we will create that life. But, if we think we are undeserving or not capable enough, we will sabotage our own efforts without even realizing it.

In this workshop we learn how to identify negative self talk, analyse what is meant by it, reframe it, then re-inforce the reframe, all on a canvas to make it fun!

Introduction to Colour Therapy - Discover how colours can heal

Did you know that each colour has a positive and negative emotion attached to it?

Discover the hidden meaning behind each colour and the emotions that they are associated with.

In this interactive workshop we start with a blank canvas and put some of each colour onto it, while discussing the colour and it’s qualities. Be as artistic or blotchy as you like with you canvas, it’s all in fun while being informative.

Balance your life using Ying and Yang, and the Four Elements

Feel like your life is out of balance?

You know the feeling, when part of you isn’t quite flowing or aligned? When the heart, mind, body or soul isn’t connected with what you are doing or who you want to be.

How important is having a balanced life to you?

Is it time to discover a new way of being balanced?

I have designed a workshop where you get to express yourself using paint. We will touch on Yin and Yang, the four elements, Earth, Air, Fire and Water, and the four main components that make up your life. Bringing them all together in a painting that you get to take home.

This unique process can help you to:

  • Solve personal or business problems
  • Gain clarity and insight
  • Get a new perspective on something
  • Strengthen your positive qualities
  • Embody new intentions
  • Connect with your inner 'knowing' (your intuition)
  • Strengthen trust in yourself
  • Be your own best guide
  • Express yourself in new ways
  • Increase self-awareness

By examining the four different parts of your life and how you perceive them, you will gain a deeper understanding of yourself and how to balance your life more efficiently. This is done in a non-judgemental and non-confronting atmosphere. You decide what you want to share.

Let's create our Vision Boards together!.

What is a Vision Board and what is it used for?

The power of our imagination, by way of visualisation, can actively transform all areas of our life, including our thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. This concept is not based on “airy fairy” fantasy, but on psychotherapeutic reality. That is, the power of the imagination through visualisation can imprint our goals into our unconscious mind – and we all know how our unconscious mind, when it is supporting a conscious goal, is able to work with us to achieve it.

By using visualisation and its associated imagery, these visualised images are imprinted on the unconscious mind and accepted as truth. In that acceptance, we will then experience the world around us based on what we have visualised. The objective of visualisation is not to get something, but to activate the creative communication process between our unconscious and conscious mind – thus tapping into the infinite possibilities that reside in each of us.

Think of a vision board as a creative road map to your dreams, aspirations, and desires—a tangible representation to keep you focused on your goals. And the great thing is, there is no right or wrong way to do it. Every person’s vision board is, by design, deeply personal and perfectly unique.

In this workshop:

We will do a Guided meditation creating your future goals, Then we will collage them onto a vision board. This is a fun workshop that will give you a clear vision of what you want.

PLEASE COME READY WITH ALL THE POSITIVITY AND WILLINGNESS TO LEARN AND ACCOMPLISH YOUR Goals.

Just bring yourself. Everything is supplied. If you have some magazines or pictures that you would like to include in you vision board, bring them along!
